Honestly, why can't Apple settle for making their money by selling a cool gadget rather than trying to fleece customers for an extra buck by locking them in to some 'return to base' battery replacement scheme?

It's just unnecessary, and makes Apple look like cowboys!

because they're a publicly traded company and maintaining healthy profit margins is VERY important!
