Drop CDMA, a protocol that should have died years ago and switch to a proven worldwide ATT wireless has everything you need to be prductive in your professional and daily life. We are also the worldwide leader of blackberry service. Tell your wireless provider you want GSM.
no one gets signal with GSM in my house.. GSM is a HUGE letdown in my area... so maybe you should stick to just saying that GSM is excellent in your area.. oh yeah, two of my roomies worked for AT&T/Cingular and they've given me more than enough reason not to go back. Not to mention they're lame enough to have the icrap.
I have friends on every network. Cingular/ATT is the one that everyone hates the most. They get crappy reception. They have been waiting for 3G the longest. And now with the iPhone, they are not going to get all the Blackberry features they should get. What a waste. I'd much rather have a 3G CDMA phone. I can connect my laptop via bluetooth or a cable and get 80K downloads in populated areas. Try that with a GSM phone.
oh, guess what else... i have hsdpa, and i download at a comfortable 1.5 megs a second. i can bind my phone to my laptop with bluetooth, via usb, or ir. fuck blackberries, thier the most worthless peices of shit on the face of the planet - everyone of which deserve to be to be thrown into a large pit, pissed on, and then set ablaze. i have fine service on at&t btw, back to phone quality. perhaps all you asses should cough up some dough and quit buying cheap ass phones.
how about you people start realizing part of the issue is the service, but most of it is your cheap-ass phone that is causing you grief. want a good phone? get an HTC, or a re-brand.
Same here, AT&T's HSDPA. I download at 200KBps (1.5mbps). That's with AT&T putting the 1.5mbps cap, if not it'd be more. Just last Thursday I was downloading 2GB of data. And I don't have to worry about hitting 5GB and seeing my service cut. But it's true, AT&T's 3G coverage is weaker than Sprint's and Verizon's but their deployment speed has been much faster. If you have it, it's great. But that's if you have it.
That's what I love about Chinese CDMA. One company does both CDMA and GSM, so as a result, we have unlocked dual-band CDMA/tri-band GSM dual-mode phones to encourage switching from the other provider, and R-UIMs for CDMA, so none of that nasty activation stuff- just pop in the card and go!

What the hell? I can't believe AT&T would back this, yet I've never heard of a cellular service fanboy...I'm so confused.

GSM may be global, but it is seriously lacking anywhere outside of any metro area.
Hence, I say "bite me" to anyone sticking up for a technology that has such serious geo-challenges.

Hey, douche!!! Do you realize HSDPA is a CDMA technology?? If not, now you do. Get your facts straight before you make stupid comments.
