I was really depressed when I couldn't find any of my own videos on the iPhones youtube.

Have you tried uploading it using the new iMovie 08? I noticed the YouTube feature on the sharing menu (have not tried it) and wondered if it shot it off to YouTube in an iPhone Friendly version.
