d. 16

The answer:

nintendodude @ Jun 30th 2007 5:52PM
Oh wow, thats a lot of money to be spent on phones! perhaps if a particular person doesnt like their iPhone, i could have it? maybe? please!!!!
Suspect @ Jun 30th 2007 5:53PM
Engadget writers only make $200 a month?
Beata Yamin @ Jun 30th 2007 5:57PM
they have to pay for the service too which is pretty expensive.
Ryan Block @ Jun 30th 2007 6:24PM
Joooke!
Mike @ Jun 30th 2007 5:54PM
Just put them up on eBay. For whatever reason people seem to be paying upwards of $800 for an iPhone. It strikes me people can be so clueless when you can check the availability of the iPhone at your local Apple stone online. Oh by the way all locations in my area (Los Angeles) were in stock as of this morning.
Andrew @ Jul 1st 2007 7:18AM
Here's betting that a lot of the iPhones on eBay won't be staying in the US very long - even if they don't work properly, I'm guessing a fair few people in Europe, the Middle East and China will be buying for street cred!
dz @ Jun 30th 2007 5:55PM
Wow, which I had one..now the real question..how many of those are 8gb and how many are the 4gb? Also saw this on at&t's website...
"You can return your iPhone within 14 days for a full refund, but there is a 10%
restocking fee if the box has been opened."
...does this 10% restocking fee also apply if you bought it at an Apple Store? Anyone know?
Mammoth @ Jun 30th 2007 6:30PM
I bought mine at an Apple Store and right after I bought it, they mentioned the 10% restocking fee.
Daniel @ Jun 30th 2007 5:56PM
I am so jealous of you guys over the pond to us here in the UK. I so want to get my hands an iPhone but will just have to wait. Still enjoy reading the excellent coverage you providing. Nice One
trancer @ Jun 30th 2007 5:57PM

Pavel Shlyapnikov @ Jun 30th 2007 5:57PM

Jeffrey Robison @ Jun 30th 2007 6:01PM
god someones moody today
PaG @ Jun 30th 2007 6:02PM
I'm happy to see that even will all the hype surrounding the iPhone, Engadget still only posts the most important and relevant gadget news. So many other sites just post anything related to Apple's new phone, no matter how inane, but Engadget would never do such a thing...
jaapV @ Jun 30th 2007 7:05PM
We wouldn't accuse Engadget of just making up newsitems, now would we?
Because that would be weired, a blog trying to make publicity for a product. Unless, His steveness has just bought the internet.
(ah, what the hell, I don't want to be a party-pooper, I wish the folks at engadget all the fun with their playthingies as possible, nerds that you are.)
Someguy @ Jun 30th 2007 6:04PM
I have a better question, two in fact:
1) How does this contribute to news about electronics, or is it simply to show off for more page hits via repetitive (and repulsive overwhelming) iphone news
2) Who actually cares?
kyle allen @ Jul 1st 2007 1:21AM
why all the complainin? its guna be old news in like a week or two, start ur own dang website if u want free junk. dont dis engadget tho.
aalqadaffi @ Jun 30th 2007 6:08PM
Are you guys so serious about your gadget news that you can't stand to see anything witty or slightly funny on the pages of engadget? Geez people lighten up.
rashid @ Jun 30th 2007 6:18PM
what a lot of readers want to know is whats is up with the lag in activating the phone. can you give us some response on this issue from at&t?
booyaka @ Jun 30th 2007 6:19PM
Better question, how many are yall going to return back?
lmao broke asses
booyaka @ Jun 30th 2007 6:40PM
Dude, it's made my Apple! C'mon now, what kind of question is that?!
I.M. Yerpappy @ Jun 30th 2007 6:27PM
iNasty sucka. Get yaself an effin' girlfriend or even a boyfriend. Maybe then you won't be such a whiney iPrick. Yeh, who gives a crap how many iPhones Endgadget has. It's their publication, so they can post whatever they effin' please. Don't like it, then eff off. You don't pay for their site. Jeez, take a chill pill. Like someone's beggin' you to be here. Start your own site, for a world record of zero hits in a friggin' year.
Ellianth @ Jun 30th 2007 10:18PM
Huh? Who is your comment directed towards? This is a free internet (like free country) so people can go on any site they want to. If it's someone's opinion that there is too much iphone news on engadget, they're allowed to post it.
Publications get better by getting input from their readers. I'm hereby asking whoever you were telling to leave, to stay. So that cancels out the, 'no one want's you here' crap.
Now, as for the 'you don't pay for their site' business. Care to tell me who does then? I always thought the ads were targeted at me and other readers so that we'd look at them or click them so that the advertisers pay them. I count that as the readers helping to pay for the site.
Just like how if they don't like the articles they should go somewhere else, if you don't like the comments, skip them. The only sensible thing you said was the getting a boyfriend part. Everyone needs a boyfriend :p.
P.S. I've crossed out that guys name on the chill pill prescription, and put your name on it. If the pharmacist asks why it's crossed out, just tell her it was your doctors chicken scratch. Take two tablets a day and hopefully you'll calm down
P.P.S. Say no to drugs and Vote Pro-Engadget-Forums.
Dee @ Jun 30th 2007 6:34PM
For the love of all that is good and holy... why must you rub our faces in it?!
Johnny @ Jun 30th 2007 6:43PM
The more important issue here is, did you seriously just use the word "hella"? To call somebody _else_ lame? That is hella ironic.
Chuckles McGee @ Jun 30th 2007 6:47PM
"You know what they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it love an iPhone."
Man, my dyslexia is kicking in again. Read that as "...you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make love to an iPhone."
AirStrike X2 @ Jun 30th 2007 6:54PM
Can I get atleast 1? =))

3rdsun @ Jun 30th 2007 7:25PM
If you guys knew you were returning it why the hell did you pluck down $600 an 10 hours waiting in line. Were you all hooked by the imania field of distortion. And I thought Engadget editors had more sense than this.
Ben @ Jun 30th 2007 7:33PM
yea, i wish i had too many too
"i guess beggars can be choosers"
Teddles @ Jun 30th 2007 7:47PM
Whats bugging me is how this post came up on my "No iPhone" RSS feed.
Im slowly losing faith in this sites ability to report, they come up with drivel like the guy who returned one as news, and then cant even get their RSS feeds right.
roach @ Jun 30th 2007 7:53PM
just give it back to me, not the store
jaysins @ Jun 30th 2007 8:04PM
b. 12 cuz you said so in your post post :)
Flying? @ Jun 30th 2007 8:57PM
Maybe is it time now for a nice little iPhone/Apple break?
Brian @ Jun 30th 2007 8:58PM
just came back from a store in glendale, ca as well as called a couple other in the LA area. they were all sold out
smegs @ Jun 30th 2007 9:03PM
I just took mine back too. I went back to my blackjack. That edge stinks, ince you have had 3G. Oh yeah, I forgot to say when I retuned it. That keyboard is HORRIBLE. I didnt wait in line thank god. I just walked in yesterday at 7. They had a whole stack of them. This launch reminds me of when I returned my PS3. bleh.
dloendorf @ Jun 30th 2007 10:10PM
WTF is this doing on a NO IPHONE blog. Come on engadget - get your shit together. No IPHONE means NO IPHONE!!!
Erich Welch @ Jun 30th 2007 10:44PM
Can I have on for free?
Erich Welch @ Jun 30th 2007 10:48PM
nice photoshop
Teddy @ Jun 30th 2007 11:45PM
I'm curious, what happens to the returns, are they repackaged and sold as new ?
meekdfd @ Jul 1st 2007 12:22AM
You guys only pay 200 bucks in month for rent? Where the hell in san francisco do you live, tenderloin?
Mike I @ Jul 1st 2007 2:05AM
You guys get a salary of $12,000 a year?!
That's not fair!
Y'all should get paid more for providing such entertainment for us.
周鹏 @ Jul 1st 2007 2:22AM
Could I got a free one! :)
Saptha @ Jul 1st 2007 5:22AM
wow 12 iPhones , i wish I'm one of engadget staff to test them and write a review
wakka_wakka @ Jul 1st 2007 8:19PM
Better still, you could've been working for Apple and have gotten one for free, which, in my opinion, would be a lot sweeter. Then that three months of pay could be put to better things, like service. And food. And maintaining the precious bodily fluids.
I wonder what freebie Apple will be shilling out to its employees next. A copy of Leopard, maybe? Either way, I'm jealous of anybody that has an iPhone and/or an Apple employee.
Mak @ Jul 1st 2007 5:29AM
WOW, That confirms how many idiots there are at Engadget....
When will people wake up? It costs for than a PS3, which at least has cutting edge tech like Cell and Blu-Ray.
iPhone, is just a phone....
Mandeee @ Jul 1st 2007 2:34PM
Let's see how big the engadget-collection of iDildo's will be when they're brought out this christmas!!!! I'm an apple fan but enough is f*cking enough!!!!
