Everyday people can be empathetic. If you've never gone through it and feel bad for the person, you're sympathetic. If you have gone through it, and can actually feel the pain they are dealing with, you're empathetic.

p-diddy....you are just as dumb as someone i would expect with the name "p-diddy"....do you know what an empath is? did you notice a word that was spelled close but not quite "EMPATHETIC" maybe...something like...oh idk..."EMPATHIC"??
