HTC Touch's TouchFLO interface video at Engadget Mobile
We've got some (admittedly crappy quality) footage of the Touch over at Engadget Mobile -- it's not much, but it'll do the job if you were wondering what how that TouchFLO interface looks and works. Next time we'll use a better camera. Promise.

BLARRRGHH!! I AM THE APPLE MONSTER!!! I COMPARE EVERYTHING TO APPLE PRODUCTS!! THIS THING SUCKS COMPARED TO THE (insert over-hyped apple product)!!!!!
Now that we got that out of the way, this actually looks pretty cool. You get the immensely powerful Windows Mobile OS with a flashy UI put on top of it. At least that ensures that behind all that flash, there is something that is actually useful.

I don't like it, just like the iPhone. Touchscreens are no good on a phone. You guys will learn around the end of the month.

Touchscreens no good on a phone? Seriously?
While we're at it, I guess mice are no good on computers, since we do already have keyboards.
More options for interfacing will always be better

Yeaaaa :^(..., an early version of the Verizon “iPhone Killer”. MEH!

A MUCH better video demo of the functions can be found on PhoneScoop.

This is SHOCKING. Is it even worth uploading something like this? I just googled and found this much better vid: www.t3.co.uk/news/247/communications/mobile_phone/htc_touch_phone_touched

You all are so funny, this thing sucks. Another attempt to copy an Apple interface. Don't believe me go to there web site and see how unimpressive it is.
I can say one thing. Imitation ( or a poor attempt) is the best form of flattery.

Reasons I like the idea:
Go Apple. I'm soooooo not an Apple fanboy, but I knew that when I saw the iPhone, it would spur innovation in the handset interface industry. I truly believe that we'll either see phones become the catchall device the UMPC was to be, or we'll get a truly competent mini-phone/folio-type combination in the near future. The phone will do the heavy lifting, but an OQO-sized or similar device will act as a dumb terminal and will cover the need for a larger screen/input needs for multimedia and typing/SMS/data management.
Reasons I like this Phone:
WM6 so I can port over my Axim WM5 programs
Small...looks smaller than the iPhone
USB connectivity instead of some goofy proprietary port
Reasons I don't like this Phone:
There are better WM5 skins for touch-screen interface than what HTC came up with for its music player.
You can't be half-assed in the knock-off space...stylus to get to your keyboard? I thought this was called the Touch. Though I don't doubt that I can hook up my BT keyboard to this guy and type to my heart's desire they should have hidden a keyboard slider in it.
Gotta put the memory card slot in an accessible place.
Graphics are okay, but Apple's always been the king of eye candy. It's tough to find programmers w/ an eye for sexy design...Apple's great at that.
Why release this year's phone with last year's data package? EV-DO baby!
dLeet @ Jun 7th 2007 3:37PM
@Burnblue - that wouldn't be the accurate comparison there. The person is spurning that it is "only" a touch screen, so to use your analogy, have fun using your computer with a mouse, sans keyboard.

Awfully display.
