AnyDATA intros ADU-E100D USB EV-DO modem
Okay, so maybe these USB EV-DO modems would be a bit more lovable if they were in dongle form, but they're still a reasonable alternative if your ExpressCard slot is busy handling other (likely frivolous) activities. AnyDATA's ADU-E100D is a tad larger than a standard business card, but will only add about 4 extra ounces to your trusty knapsack, and sports an integrated battery as well as USB 2.0 connectivity. The modem is based on Qualcomm's MSM 6500 chipset, is backwards compatible with 1xRTT, supports EV-DO 3G speeds up to 2.4Mbps (down) and 153.5kbps (up), and allows sending / receiving of those oh-so-urgent SMS messages during data operations. Although details regarding pricing and availability aren't yet known, the snazzy blue ADU-E100D should be bringing that EV-DO goodness to your notebook (or desktop) real soon.[Via TG Daily]

CDMA/EV-DO doesn't use simcards, so wouldn't this carry carrier specific programming? I don't think you could just buy this modem and ask sprint to activate the esn of a 3rd party product.
Or... does this have a PCMCIA / ExpressCard slot that could house a Sprint / Verizon card?

What are you talking about? You can make crappy movies on iMovie and Crappy Music on Garageband.
We PC Users can only use Excel.

OS X is so much nicer than XP.
What are the statistics? EVDO Rev A or only Release 0? Verizon only?(what a shame, they have the worst EV-DO network in the world. Downthrottling bandwidth, no plans that I know of to set up Rev A as soon as sprint will, garbage coverage compared to sprint, no international data access that I know of, 20 dollars a month more than sprint EV-DO with more limitations, etc.)

Your right about XP, its not nice at all and crashes.. And keeps bugging everyone about serial codes...
But it does spreadsheets, word, pie charts...
And endless expansion, upgrades, high quality games, just about a piece of software for EVERYTHING....
I guess thats not good enough to beat the OSX, because it looks nice :)
