Nokia's Vertu Ascent, finally in pink
Alright, we just don't have the energy for the usual
tirade against pink gadgets. Instead, we'll rip on the
embossed leather and crocodile print of Nokia's Vertu Ascent luxury phone, now in pink for you'll never guess which
marketing segment. We'll also have a good giggle at the strip of polished keys, the matching ceramic pillow (wtf?), the
soft pink backlighting, the matching pink holster and the special pink package. The tri-band phone has Bluetooth and
voice dialing functionality, and… that's about it. Apparently it was so difficult to work all that pink in there they
had to cut some corners in the features department as a result. It'll be out this spring/summer, and will be
"expensive."

know, something short anyway.

err,sorry if im sounding stupid here but Vertu range is awesome,they arethe phones that come with a concierge on the other end who will do anything for you (like tickets for FA cup final on the day etc...) did engadgte mis this point?

I think I saw this model (albeit not in pink - was yellow) in Hongkong a couple of weeks ago. Was something like 45000 HKD, which equals roughly 6000 USD....You be the judge if that is value for money or not. I'll be having something else though. ;-))
